250 attacks in 15 days, 600 Hamas terrorists killed, IDF statement, operation will stop only after the hostages are released

On the 18th of last month, Israel once again attacked the Gaza Strip. The Israeli forces ended the ceasefire that lasted for two months. In the first attack itself, about 200 people were reported dead. The reason behind breaking the ceasefire was that Hamas had started showing reluctance on the second phase of the return of the hostages. The Israeli army is continuously attacking Hamas bases from three sides i.e. land, air and sea. IDF spokesperson BG Efi Defrin shared information on the re-started operation. It was told that attacks were carried out on 600 terrorist targets. More than 250 terrorists were killed in these attacks. These include a dozen big leaders of Hamas’ political party. It was claimed that 60 terrorists were killed on the first day itself. Efi Defrin says that we are carrying out our operation according to our plan. This operation will stop only when our hostages are not released

59 hostages still in the custody of Hamas

On 7 October, around 1200 Israeli citizens were killed in the Hamas attack. Hamas took 251 people hostage and took them to Gaza Strip. Even now 59 hostages are in the custody of Hamas. A ceasefire was signed with Hamas regarding the release of the hostages. The ceasefire was also broken regarding this matter. In the first phase, Hamas released 33 hostages. In return, Israel released 1900 Palestinian prisoners. The first phase was completed on 1 March. But the talks did not progress in the second phase. Hamas put forward its new demand in the talks. In the second phase, Hamas wanted that not a single hostage will be released until the entire Israeli army starts withdrawing from Gaza.

Report released on Nova Party attack

Several investigation committees were formed after the Hamsa attack. After investigating every aspect, its report is also being shared. According to Israeli media, Nova Music Festival was approved by IDF but the soldiers posted on Gaza Israel border were not informed about it. On 7 October, 100 Hamas terrorists carried out a massacre in Nova party. According to the military investigation report, 3000 people were present in that party, including 400 staff and 75 unarmed security personnel. Out of these, 344 civilians and 34 security personnel were killed. While 44 were kidnapped and taken to Gaza. The report also says that even Hamsa did not know about that festival. IDF’s chain of command was definitely aware of this festival, but the nearby unit was not informed. The investigation report has also revealed that on 7 October, Hamsa was fighting at a total of 40 places. Approximately 5600 Hamas terrorists crossed the border and killed Israeli citizens in several areas simultaneously. Out of the 44 people who were kidnapped from Nova Party, 17 are still in their custody, out of which 11 are alive and the bodies of the remaining 6 are with them. Out of the 27 hostages who were returned, 14 were alive and the remaining 13 bodies were returned to Israel.
