Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) president Raunak Khatri has also jumped into the matter of plastering the classrooms with cow dung in Laxmibai College of Delhi University. Raunak Khatri reached Laxmibai College on Tuesday regarding this matter. Raunak Khatri went to the office of Principal Professor Pratyush Vatsala in the college and registered his protest by applying cow dung on its walls.

Raunak Khatri said that the principal applied cow dung on the walls of the classroom without asking the students and this is wrong. He said that if Madam wants to give the message of cooling the walls by applying cow dung on them, then she should adopt this initiative in her office also and remove the ACs and fans installed in her office and install them in the classrooms.

Cow dung plastering in Principal’s office: In the afternoon, Raunak Khatri reached Laxmibai College with some of his student union friends and other students. During this time, Raunak Khatri did not find Principal Professor Pratyush Vatsala in the office. Meanwhile, he also had a long argument with the Vice Principal of the college. The Vice Principal said that when Madam comes, you can talk to her and do whatever work you want to do, but in Madam’s absence you do not have to do anything. Regarding this, Raunak said that the Principal also plastered the walls of the classroom with cow dung in the absence of students. Therefore, we will also apply cow dung in her absence, it would have been better if Madam was also present here.

What is the whole matter: Let us tell you that on Sunday, the video of the Principal of the college plastering the walls of the classroom with cow dung went viral. After which this video also became a topic of discussion on social media. Along with this, many students and teachers are also protesting against it. At the same time, DU Vice Chancellor Professor Yogesh Singh has also said that if the principal has to do any such experiment, any such study, then it should have been started from her home and her office first.

Principal’s reaction on video going viral: Since the video went viral, the principal has been saying that as part of a research, she has got the 6 classrooms of the college plastered with a paste made by mixing cow dung, soil, red sand and Multani soil. After this video went viral, this morning, DUSU President Raunak Khatri posted from his x handle and wrote that a few days ago you all must have seen that historical video of the Principal of Laxmibai College, in which she was seen plastering the classroom with cow dung. Now taking this revolutionary initiative forward, I will go to Madam’s office with cow dung along with my colleagues and will help her in plastering the Principal’s room. We have full faith that Madam will now get the AC removed from her room and hand it over to the students and will run the college in this modern and natural cool environment plastered with cow dung.
