Uttarakhand: A child will get admission in class one only after he is six years old, no exemption will be given

Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the child must be six years old to get admission in class one in government and private schools. Children younger than this will not be given admission in class one at all. There will be no exemption in this.
The Education Minister said, after the implementation of the National Education Policy, it has been made mandatory for both government and private schools in Uttarakhand. According to the minister, this system is being implemented across the country under the National Education Policy.
He said, although there will be some problem in the state regarding this in the beginning, but no exemption will be given in this. The Education Minister has instructed the officials of the department in this regard that private schools should also be made aware of this. There are Balvatikas for children younger than this.
