Big attack in Moscow, Putin’s general killed in bomb blast

A car has exploded in the Russian capital Moscow. President Vladimir Putin’s senior general has reportedly been killed in this blast. 59-year-old Russian Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik was passing by when the car exploded. Due to the explosion, the car jumped several meters in the air. After the explosion, evidence of the use of IED has been found at the spot.

2 people injured in the blast

Russian emergency services say the power of the explosives recovered was equivalent to more than 300 grams of TNT. Two people have also been seriously injured in the blast. Russian media says that locals have also heard the sound of several more explosions. Moskalik was the deputy chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Windows of buildings broke

It is still not clear who caused the explosion. Locals said that the explosion was so strong that the windows of the surrounding buildings also broke. This deadly attack has happened at a time when US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff is about to meet Putin. Witkoff is in Moscow for the second round of talks with Russia to end the Ukraine war.
