Pauri Police has busted a big fraud gang and arrested three members of the Tantrik gang who cheated a woman of lakhs of rupees by showing fear of divine wrath.

On 20 April 2025, Kotdwar resident Jai Prakash had given a complaint to the police regarding the matter. In which he told that some persons named Anil, Chetram, Ashok Joshi, Dinesh Bhagat, Sonu, Rajkumar and Rajiv Sharma threatened to kill his wife by showing fear of Pitru Dosh and divine wrath. The accused called the woman to different places and cheated her of a total of Rs 40 lakh 75 thousand
Search for absconding members continues
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police registered a case against the accused and started searching for the accused. The police have arrested three accused from Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. While police teams are continuously raiding in search of other absconding members of the gang.
