The Dhami government is providing all the facilities to orphan children and destitute women, including essential centers. But now the state government is preparing to provide a family environment to orphan children and destitute women. Uttarakhand will be the first state in the country to implement this scheme. The Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development has also started its work on this scheme.

Under this scheme, the state government is trying to give a family environment to orphan children and destitute women by keeping them under one roof, so that the lives of children and adolescents are bright. After all, what is this scheme of the department and how effective it can prove to be, let us tell you in detail about it.

The scheme has been approved by the government

The Uttarakhand government has decided to provide support to orphan women, children and girls under the Alamban Gaon Yojana. With this scheme, Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to have decided to build Alamban village. This scheme has been approved in the meeting of the Secretary Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary last month, after which the departmental secretary has requested the Dehradun District Magistrate to select land in Vikasnagar and make it available to the department as soon as possible so that further action can be taken.

Arrangement to keep 16 people in one house

The government will provide support to orphan-dependent women, boys and girls under the Aalambhan Gaon Yojana. Along with this, the government is also trying to provide a community and family environment to such people, so that the children do not feel orphaned. Under the scheme, 8 children along with four teenage girls are being kept in one house as their elder sisters. Also, four women will be kept to take care of the boys and girls. That is, a total of 16 people will be kept in one house. Four rooms will be made in one house.

They will also be made self-reliant

By the way, Nari Niketan, Bal Sudhar and Women Rehabilitation Welfare Center Committee are already being operated in the state. In such a situation, those who do not want to live in it will be kept in Alamban village. Under the Alamban Village Scheme, not only will children, adolescents and women be given shelter, but they will also be made self-reliant. Many business activities will also be organized to make the girls and women living in this village self-reliant. Along with this, outlet centers will also be opened for the sale of the products made by them.

Training will also be given for skill development

The dependents living in Alamban Village will be given training mainly in farming, gardening, fish farming, dairy and poultry farming. So that these people can become self-reliant by joining self-employment. Giving more information about this, Secretary of Women Empowerment and Child Development Department Chandresh Yadav said that a blueprint has been prepared to start the Alamban Village Scheme for orphan-dependent women, boys and adolescents below 18 years of age in the state.

The intention of the Juvenile Justice Act is that keeping children in an institution is the last option. Before this, children should be given a community environment, in view of which the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department has prepared a community based scheme. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to start such a scheme.

According to Secretary Chandresh Yadav, Alamban village will be developed on 5 to 6 acres of land in Vikasnagar area, in which 20 to 25 houses will be built. However, it will be started with 5 houses. 8 boys, four teenagers and four women will be kept in one house. In such a situation, about 350 people will get the benefit of this scheme in the initial phase. This scheme has been initiated to bring all these people into the mainstream as well as make them responsible citizens. There will also be a living arrangement for the officers and employees engaged in the operation of Alamban village. Along with installing solar panels in this village, there will also be an arrangement of e-rickshaws for the movement of people.
