Uttarakhand: Dhami government again moved forward on zero tolerance policy and suspended 3 engineers, found guilty in the collapse of Bailey bridge in Tharali

Once again, the Dhami government has adopted a zero tolerance policy and taken action against negligent engineers. Actually, major action has been taken on the matter of damage to the under-construction bridge in Tharali. Considering the matter serious, the government has taken action against 3 engineers of the Public Works Department. The departmental secretary has issued an order to suspend these engineers.

Public Works Department Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey has taken major action on the damaged bridge case in Tharali. In this case, three engineers of the Public Works Department have been suspended. The special thing is that a day earlier, there was news of the bridge being damaged in Tharali. Within the next 24 hours, the government, understanding the seriousness of the matter, has issued an order related to action.

The bridge was under construction on the Dungri Ratgaon motor road under Tharali in Chamoli. This bridge was to be built as a 60 m Bailey bridge on the Pranamati river. A day earlier, news came that this bridge has been damaged. After the matter came to light, the government immediately gave necessary instructions regarding the damage to the bridge and asked for an investigation.

Prima facie, the negligence of three engineers has also come to light in the matter. The special thing is that action was taken on the matter without delay. Orders have been issued to suspend three engineers. The engineers who have been suspended include Dinesh Mohan Gupta, Executive Engineer of Construction Section Public Works Department Tharali, Naveen Lal, Executive Engineer of Karnaprayag Public Works Department Provincial Section and Akash Hundia, Assistant Engineer of Construction Section Public Works Department Tharali.

All three officers have been suspended and attached to the Chief Engineer Office Public Works Department Pauri. All three engineers are accused of laxity in construction work, negligence in properly supervising the work. After the matter came to light, disciplinary action is proposed against these engineers. Since the matter is of major punishment level, it has been decided to suspend them.
