Russia suffered a major loss in the Ukraine attack, Major General Mikhail Gudkov killed in a missile attack

Major General Mikhail Gudkov, Deputy Chief of the Russian Navy, has died. Gudkov and 10 other soldiers have died in the attack by Ukraine. Mikhail Gudkov’s death has been confirmed on a Telegram channel associated with the Ukrainian army. Mikhail Gudkov was posted at a command post in Korenevo in the Kursk region bordering Ukraine. It is feared that everyone died in the missile attack.
Putin had made Mikhail Gudkov the Deputy-in-Chief of the Navy
Gudkov had received awards for bravery in military action against Ukraine and Ukraine accused him of war crimes. According to a statement on the Kremlin website, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed him Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy in March. There has been no immediate comment from the Russian Defense Ministry or Ukraine.
Gudkov led a marine brigade of Russia’s Pacific Fleet, which was fighting in Kursk. Ukrainian forces captured parts of Kursk in August 2024.
