For India, climate justice is not an option but a moral duty, because the health of the earth and the health of humans are deeply interconnected. Referring to the Covid pandemic, he said that this crisis has taught us that neither viruses come with visas nor solutions are chosen by looking at passports.

He said that India supports that everyone should get equal rights and participation. New technologies like artificial intelligence were also discussed in the meeting. The Prime Minister said that terrorism is the biggest threat to the entire humanity today. Referring to the attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir this year, he said that it was not just an attack on India but on the whole world. He said that strict action should be taken against those countries which give money, training or shelter to terrorists. There should be no double standards on this issue. India expresses its gratitude to BRICS for strongly condemning the Pahalgam attack.
