Troubles have increased for Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has recently given a verdict that has raised questions on the property worth crores of the Pataudi family. The court has declared Saif’s ancestral property in Bhopal as ‘enemy property’. The High Court has rejected the 25-year-old trial court’s verdict and made it clear that now the hearing of this case will be done again and that too should be completed within a year.
Saif Ali Khan lost the property worth 15000 crores of the Pataudi family
The case is related to the property worth 15 thousand crores. Which belongs to the family of Nawab Hamidullah Khan. The trial court had given the verdict in 2000 that this property should be given to Sajida Sultan who was Saif’s great-grandmother. But the problem starts from here. The government’s stand is that at the time of partition, some heirs related to this property had gone to Pakistan. In such a situation, the ‘Enemy Property Act’ comes into force under which the government can take over the properties which are considered to be of people associated with the enemy country.
What all is in the possession of the government?
After the High Court’s decision, many of Saif’s valuable properties have now come under government control. These include Bhopal’s Flag Staff House where Saif spent his childhood, Noor-us-Saba Palace, Dar-us-Salam, Habibi’s bungalow, Ahmedabad Palace and Kohefiza’s luxurious property.
