Eminent personalities gathered on one platform in Dehradun, brainstorming on 25 years of Uttarakhand

On the occasion of State Foundation Day, the Brahmakamal Shakti Sansthan and Doon Dialogue organized a program titled “Uttarakhand Ek Vichar – 25 Years of Reflection on Devbhoomi” in Dehradun. The program focused on the state’s 25th anniversary, including what the state has lost and what it has gained, the roadmap for the future, and how development should take place in Uttarakhand. Prominent figures from various social, political, and other fields participated in the program.

Held at the Dehradun Doon Library, the program began with a tribute to the martyrs of the Uttarakhand statehood movement. Abhinav Thapar, President of Brahmakamal Shakti Sansthan and Convener of Doon Dialogue, stated that since Uttarakhand has been formed for 25 years, renowned personalities from various fields of Uttarakhand have been gathered to discuss the state’s status over the past 25 years and to discuss future roadmaps for various issues that could benefit the state.

The program consisted of three brainstorming sessions, with discussions covering various topics. The first session of the program, “Uttarakhand Ek Vichar – 25 Years of Reflection on the Land of the Gods,” focused on the environment, science, and technology. Founder and MLA of the Save Ganga-Himalaya Campaign, Kishore Upadhyay, Vice Chancellor of Swami Ram Himalayan University, Dr. Rajendra Doval, coordinator of the Doon Dialogue, and High Court advocate Abhijay Negi shared their views. Social activist Anoop Nautiyal moderated the session.

The session focused on topics such as the Tehri Dam, the Doon Valley Act, Save Ganga-Himalaya, technology-based employment, and environmental protection abroad. The second session, “Uttarakhand Ek Vichar – 25 Years of Reflection on the Land of the Gods,” discussed “employment, the state’s youth, and the state’s economic and political landscape.” The third session focused on “Uttarakhand’s folk culture and tradition and women’s empowerment.” Padma Shri and folk singer Basanti Devi, folk singer Saurabh Maithani, and Minister of State Vinod Uniyal participated.
