While the whole world is immersed in New Year celebrations, Pakistan is once again up to its old tricks. On the first day of the new year, January 1st, Pakistan sent explosives and ammunition via drone to Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. Following this nefarious act, security agencies have been put on high alert. Pakistan is carrying out this act to orchestrate a terrorist attack.
Pakistan not relenting even on New Year’s Day
Pakistan dropped packets filled with explosives and cartridges in the Poonch area of Jammu via drone. After the packets were found, the army went on high alert. A search operation was launched throughout the area. The drone reportedly entered the Khadi Karmara area of Poonch, near the Line of Control (LoC).
Ammunition sent to India via drone
A large-scale search operation has been launched. Security agencies are also investigating the drone’s flight path. Considering the security situation, the administration had banned the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) in several areas in the past few days. This is the second incident of a drone being spotted near the LoC since the ban.
Second incident in 24 hours
Security forces have seized the explosive material. Security agencies are investigating which terrorist network is behind this. This is not the first time a drone has entered Indian territory. This is the second incident of a drone entering India in 24 hours. Earlier, a drone was spotted in Phulpur, Samba.
