Uttarakhand: Women’s Commission Vice Chairperson Aishwarya celebrated the New Year with destitute women and gave them special gifts

Aishwarya Rawat, Vice Chairperson of the Uttarakhand Women’s Commission and Minister of State in the Uttarakhand government, celebrated the first day of 2026 with 190 women residing at the Women’s Welfare and Rehabilitation Center in Dehradun. Aishwarya Rawat presented New Year’s gifts to all the women at the center.
Gifts given to the women by the Shaila Rani Rawat Social Service Trust
Aishwarya Rawat, Minister of State in the Uttarakhand government, said that she had recently visited the Women’s Welfare and Rehabilitation Center in Dehradun for an inspection. During the inspection, some women had made personal requests for certain necessities. Aishwarya said that the government system has a fixed budget. Personal needs of the women cannot be fulfilled from government funds, so she tried to help some women according to their personal wishes through her mother’s trust, the late Shaila Rani Rawat Social Service Trust.
Minister of State to provide education to the women
Aishwarya Rawat said that she is ready to provide all kinds of assistance to any woman residing at the center who wants to pursue distance learning or a vocational course, through her mother’s trust, the late MLA Shaila Rani Rawat Social Service Trust.
Who is Aishwarya Rawat?
It is noteworthy that Aishwarya Rawat, currently a Minister of State in the Uttarakhand government and Vice Chairperson of the Uttarakhand State Women’s Commission, is the daughter of a two-time MLA from the Kedarnath constituency. After her mother’s death, Aishwarya established a trust in her name, the Shaila Rani Rawat Social Service Trust, through which she continuously carries out social service activities.
After completing her MA, B.Ed., and law studies, Aishwarya currently runs her own intermediate college in Augustmuni, Rudraprayag. Aishwarya is often seen participating in all the social events, big and small, and supporting the people in the villages of the Kedarnath constituency during times of joy and sorrow. Given her active involvement, she is widely discussed as a potential BJP candidate from the Kedarnath constituency.
