Actress Urmila Sanawar, who went viral on social media for sharing audio and video related to the Ankita Bhandari murder case, was questioned by the police for several hours on Wednesday. Urmila was asked numerous questions regarding the source of these audio and video clips and the story behind them. Urmila may now appear before the SIT in-charge in Haridwar on Thursday. The investigating officers of both the FIRs (registered in Nehru Colony and Dalanwala) were present during the questioning.

SSP Ajay Singh said that Urmila was summoned for questioning on Wednesday. Urmila has given the investigating officers an audio clip of a conversation between her and Suresh Rathore. This will be sent for forensic testing. The SSP said that a detailed report has been sought from the LIU regarding the application Urmila submitted concerning her security.

Urmila arrived in Dehradun with Swami Darshan Bharti

It is worth noting that after four FIRs were registered one after another, Urmila suddenly went silent. She had also switched off her phone. Meanwhile, one of her social media posts suddenly went viral on Wednesday. Urmila had written that she was coming to Uttarakhand and would provide evidence related to the Ankita Bhandari murder case to the SIT. Urmila arrived in Dehradun with Swami Darshan Bharti around 9 pm on Wednesday.

She was also contacted by the media at several locations. According to sources, Urmila was summoned for questioning early in the morning. She was asked several questions regarding the case. The police have also seized copies of the audio and video clips she possessed. She will now appear before the SIT in-charge, SP City Haridwar, on Thursday.

No evidence found other than the recording of Urmila and Rathore’s conversation

The police have not found any evidence from actress Urmila Sanawar that provides any new facts related to the Ankita murder case. Sanawar only had one audio recording, which the police have recovered from her main phone. This recording is the same one in which she and Suresh Rathore are mentioning the name of a politician. No evidence has been found with Urmila to corroborate the conversations taking place in this recording.

In fact, an audio recording of a conversation between Suresh Rathore and Urmila went viral last month. Following this, Urmila made several videos in which she repeated the politician’s name, citing the conversation with Suresh Rathore. The police have already sent these viral audio and video recordings to a forensic laboratory for examination. When the police questioned Urmila after her arrival in Dehradun, they asked for evidence to support the claims made in these audio and video recordings. The police kept asking questions, and Urmila repeatedly referred to these audio and video recordings as evidence. According to the police, Urmila had no answer regarding the basis of the conversations in the audio recording or whether there was any evidence to prove the claims.

Urmila only possesses one audio recording and a few videos. She recorded the videos herself. Urmila will now appear before the SIT in charge on Thursday to present these videos and audio recordings. It is being reported that this initial police investigation has not yielded any facts relevant to the investigation of the high-profile Ankita Bhandari murder case. It should be noted that before arriving in Dehradun, Urmila had claimed that she possessed several pieces of evidence related to VIPs involved in the Ankita Bhandari murder case, which she would provide to the SIT. In Dehradun, Urmila was questioned regarding the two FIRs registered there. Now, the SIT will question her in Haridwar regarding the FIRs registered in Haridwar.
