10th Convocation Ceremony of the Open University: Governor awards gold medals to 34 students

The 10th convocation ceremony of Uttarakhand Open University was held today. Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Gurmit Singh attended the ceremony. During the event, he also inaugurated the ‘Wall of Valor’ at Uttarakhand Open University.
34 Students Awarded Gold Medals
The Chancellor, Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Gurmit Singh, awarded gold medals to 34 students in the Open University auditorium. He also conferred graduate and postgraduate degrees on 18,129 students and PhD degrees on 6 students. In addition, the university’s quarterly magazine ‘Udaan’ was released, and the university’s Hindi website was launched, following the English version.
Over 18,000 Students Awarded Degrees
After the program, the chief guest, Governor Gurmit Singh, said that today was a very important day. He stated that 18,129 students received their degrees today, and other students were awarded gold medals and PhDs. He said that these students will now play a significant role in the development of the state and the country.
Governor Extends Best Wishes to Students and University
Governor Gurmit Singh said that these students will now achieve new milestones in their lives after graduating from the university. On the occasion of the Uttarakhand Open University’s convocation ceremony, the Governor also extended his best wishes to all the students and the university for these achievements.
