Uttarakhand: New IIM Kashipur campus in Dehradun; Chief Secretary performs groundbreaking ceremony

The Bhoomi Pujan (ground-breaking ceremony) for the Dehradun campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur was held on Wednesday. Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan performed the ritualistic ceremony and expressed his happiness over the establishment of the campus.
The Chief Secretary stated that the opening of the IIM Kashipur campus in Dehradun would provide students from Uttarakhand and the surrounding regions with better opportunities for high-quality management education. Students will have the facility to pursue various management-related courses within their own region.
He remarked that there is no shortage of talent among the state’s youth. The availability of high-standard educational institutions will help young people develop their capabilities and capitalize on new opportunities.
Officials from the institute and relevant departments—including IIM Kashipur Director Prof. Neeraj Dwivedi and Devendra Prakash, Chief Engineer of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Dehradun—were present on the occasion.
