Another road accident has occurred in Himachal Pradesh. After the accident in Haripuradhar in Sirmaur, another accident has now taken place in Karsog, Mandi. A private bus was involved in this accident as well. An elderly woman died in the accident, and five people, including a child, sustained injuries.

According to reports, the incident occurred near Charkhari in the Pangna area of ​​Karsog. The accident took place around 8:30 AM on Monday morning. The private bus, named Chetan, met with the accident in Charkhari, Nihri, Karsog. It is reported that the bus rolled down a कच्चा (unpaved) road. Fortunately, there were not many passengers on the bus, and it did not roll down very far. A woman shared a video showing the bus overturned off the road. The deceased woman has been identified as Kalawati, wife of Omprakash, a resident of Charkhari.

It is reported that the driver of the private bus, named ‘Chetan’, had left the engine running while he and the conductor went to have tea. During this time, the bus started moving on its own and rolled down the road onto another road below. At the time of the accident, there were five passengers on the bus, one of whom, a 75-year-old woman, died, while four others, including a child, sustained injuries. DSP Sundernagar, Bharat Bhushan, said that a police team has been dispatched to the spot after receiving information about the accident.

Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur expressed his grief over the accident and said that the bus accident in Charkhari, Karsog, is heartbreaking. My deepest condolences are with all the victims affected by these accidents. May God protect everyone and grant a speedy recovery to the injured. I urge the local people and the administration to cooperate in providing all possible assistance to the affected families. State BJP chief spokesperson and Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal also expressed deep sorrow over the accident. He wished for the speedy recovery of the injured and expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased elderly woman.

It is worth noting that recently, on January 9th, a private bus was involved in an accident in Haripuradhar in Sirmaur district. The 39-seater bus was carrying 82 people and the accident occurred due to overloading.
