The chairperson of the Bihar Women’s Commission had also written a letter to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami protesting the remarks. On Monday, Congress’s state women’s president, Jyoti Rautela, along with her women workers, went to the Dalanwala police station in Dehradun to file a case against Girdhari Lal Sahu. They peacefully protested and demanded that a zero FIR be registered as soon as possible.
Women’s Congress creates ruckus after FIR is not registered
The police administration evaded the issue by saying they would forward the application and asked the Women’s Congress members to leave. However, the Women’s Congress remained firm and staged a peaceful protest at the police station. The police arrested the women and sent them to the police lines. After some time, the Women’s Congress returned to the Dalanwala police station to protest again and created a ruckus when the FIR was not registered.
