SBI has made withdrawing cash from ATMs more expensive, increasing the charges significantly

With SBI, withdrawing cash from ATMs has now become more expensive. State Bank of India has made an announcement regarding transactions made through its ATMs and Automated Deposit-cum-Withdrawal Machines (ADWMs). The bank has

increased the transaction charges. As a result, customers will now have to pay higher charges. Charges will apply for using other banks’ ATMs after the free limit is exhausted. These charges came into effect from December 1, 2025.

SBI makes ATM cash withdrawals more expensive
SBI has revised the charges for transactions made through its ATMs and ADWMs. These charges have been increased for customers who use other banks’ ATMs for cash withdrawals after exceeding the free limit.

How much has SBI increased the charges?
Now, customers will have to pay ₹23 plus GST for every cash withdrawal from other banks’ ATMs after the free transactions are exhausted. Previously, this charge was ₹21 + GST.

Fees also for balance inquiry or mini statement
A fee of ₹11 + GST ​​has been levied on non-financial transactions such as balance inquiry or mini statement. Earlier, this fee was ₹10 + GST. However, these charges will not apply to SBI debit cardholders using SBI ATMs. Currently, transactions at SBI ATMs are free.
