Police in Nainital have taken major action against drug trafficking. Two drug traffickers have been arrested with 207 grams of smack worth approximately 62 lakh rupees.

An anti-drug campaign, “Drugs Free Devbhoomi,” is underway in Uttarakhand. As part of this campaign, a special checking drive was conducted in Haldwani under the instructions of SSP Manjunath. On Thursday, during checking in the Mukhani area, two suspects were searched. Illegal smack was recovered from their possession.
Both traffickers were drug addicts
The traffickers have been identified as Dhanpal, a resident of Kathgodam, and Ramchandra, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Police have registered a case against both traffickers under the NDPS Act and sent them to jail. During questioning, the traffickers revealed that they were addicted to smack. They brought and sold smack to fulfill their own addiction.
