Sports Minister Rekha Arya inspected the women’s sports college under construction in Lohaghat, Champawat, on Friday. She instructed the construction agency and departmental officials to complete the construction work within the stipulated time frame and to maintain high quality.
Inspection of the Synthetic Track
On this occasion, Sports Minister Rekha Arya inspected the completed synthetic track and also interacted with the young athletes who had come there for practice. Speaking to reporters, the cabinet minister said that with the establishment of the women’s sports college, girls from Uttarakhand will now also bring glory to the state in the world of sports.
Received Report on Construction Progress
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that all the sports facilities at this women’s sports college are being built to international standards. She received a progress report on the construction work from the officials of the construction agency and gave them necessary instructions.
Facilities at the Women’s Sports College under Construction in Lohaghat
The minister informed that the women’s sports college will include a running track (athletic track), football ground, volleyball court, basketball court, three hostels (for a total of 300 girls), staff quarters, administrative building, multipurpose hall, admin block, academic block, auditorium, and guest house.
