Uttarakhand: CM Dhami listened to the grievances of people from across the state and directed officials to ensure prompt resolution along with monitoring

On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami listened to the grievances of people from various regions of the state at the ‘Mukhya Sevak Sadan’ located at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office. Citizens presented issues—both regional and personal—covering topics such as roads, drinking water, electricity, healthcare, education, revenue, pensions, employment, and financial assistance.

The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure the prompt, effective, and time-bound resolution of public grievances. He stated that issues capable of being resolved at the district or departmental level should not be unnecessarily kept pending at the government level; officials must prioritize resolving these matters at their own level.

Resolution of grievances should not be limited to paperwork

Dhami emphasized that resolving public grievances is among the state government’s top priorities. He called for making the operational process more effective so that citizens do not have to make repeated rounds of government offices for their work. He instructed officials to regularly monitor every case received during public hearings and ensure that the resolution of a complaint is not merely a matter of paperwork but results in actual relief for the concerned individual.

The Chief Minister noted that the resolution of public issues is being made more effective through initiatives such as the Chief Minister’s Helpline (1905), public hearings, and the ‘Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar’ (Government of the People, At the People’s Doorstep) program. Through these programs, the administration is reaching out to the public to resolve issues while also connecting eligible individuals with government schemes and services.

‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to continue until October 17

The Chief Minister informed that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Resolution Campaign), which began on September 17, will continue until October 17, 2026. Under this campaign, programs centered on service, public participation, dialogue, and innovation are being organized. As part of the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan,’ health and multi-purpose camps will be held alongside the ‘Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar’ camps. These initiatives aim to bring the schemes and services of both the central and state governments directly to the general public. Chief Minister Meets Medal-Winning Athletes

During the event, athletes from Uttarakhand who won medals at the ‘Navi Heroes International Taekwondo Championship-2026’ also met the Chief Minister. The competition was held in Pattaya, Thailand, from July 31 to August 2. Mannu Sonkar, Shivani Dabsa, Mohammad Zaki, and Mukul won gold medals, while Megha Sharma and Dhananjay Dhariwal won bronze medals. Congratulating all the athletes, the Chief Minister wished them a bright future.

Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office, including Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Garhwal Commissioner Anand Swarup, Additional Secretary J.C. Kandpal, Dehradun District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan, and Senior Superintendent of Police (Dehradun) Pramendra Doval, were present on the occasion.
