Uttarakhand : CM Dhami gave ultimatum to officers, immediately remove tombs from forest areas
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also taken a tough stand regarding the illegal occupation of forest areas in Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the senior officers of the Forest Department to remove the encroachment immediately. Not only this, the Chief Minister said that the Forest Department is strict in all matters. But even in this matter the officers of the department should show their seriousness.
There has already been a stir in the Uttarakhand Forest Department regarding the large number of selected religious encroachments. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has also made them realize his strictness regarding the matter by bluntly instructing the officers to remove encroachments in such cases. In fact, the Chief Minister surprised the officials by saying that they are constantly receiving complaints of illegal encroachments in forest areas. In this, encroachment is being done in the forest area through mazar and religious encroachment.
He said that the Forest Department is strict in all matters. In such a situation, action should be taken against the encroachers on this subject as well. He has to directly remove all these encroachments by the Forest Department. Let us tell you that in the past, there was talk of encroachment in the forest area through religious structures. 17 religious places were identified in Dehradun itself. Out of which 15 bulldozers were also used in the past.
Surprisingly, 80 illegal encroachments have also been identified in the Wildlife i.e. protected area, which also raises questions on the functioning of the officials of the Forest Department. Regarding this matter, the head of the department Vinod Singhal said that the report in this matter had already been given to the government. All such structures have also been identified. On the other hand, there are many religious encroachments, which have been present in the forests for years.
