Under the Mukhyamantri Solar Self -Employment Scheme, there was also a provision of 15 to 25 percent subsidy to those who set up projects. Under the scheme, only 20 to 25 kW projects could be set up. The youth did not show enthusiasm in this, due to which only 120 projects were found against the target. Guidelines have been changed to connect youth with self-employment under the Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme, which started in Trivendra government. The cabinet approved this, after which people will now be able to set up projects up to 200 kW. The government has also increased subsidy on these. Under the CM Solar Self -Employment Scheme, a target was set to set up 10 thousand solar power projects in the state. Under this scheme, there was also a provision of 15 to 25 percent subsidy to the projects. Under the scheme, only 20 to 25 kW projects could be set up.

The youth did not show enthusiasm in this, due to which only 120 projects were found against the target. Now, under the amendment made by the government in the rules, subsidy will be available from 15 to 40 percent. Project plants of 50 kW, 100 kW and 200 kW will be set up instead of 20 to 25 kW.
