Water will be expensive, alcohol will be cheap, new system will be implemented in Uttarakhand from April 1
Liquor is soon going to be cheap and water expensive for the people of Uttarakhand. From the new financial year, a new system will be implemented for the residents of the state. Under the new excise policy, preparations have also been made to increase the rate of water if people get cheaper liquor. The Dhami government has finalized the excise policy in the state. Under the new excise policy, efforts have been made to increase the sale of liquor in the state and increase the revenue target. Under the new excise policy, now the prices of liquor are going to be cheaper in the state from April 1. On the other hand, from April 1 itself, people will have to loosen their pockets more for water in the state. In the state, this increase can be up to 10 percent.
In fact, in the new policy, it has now been decided to keep the price of liquor in a maximum difference of ₹ 20 as compared to Uttar Pradesh, while at present the price of regular brand liquor is running 100 to 150 rupees more than that of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, after the new policy, there will be a reduction in the prices of liquor in the state.
Water bills will also have to be paid more for the new financial year. Water rates are increased in the state on the new financial year. Where the prices of water increase in urban areas, the bill is fixed on the basis of each tap in rural areas. Before the financial year of 2022, people had to pay Rs 1375 every 3 months. After this it was increased to 1453.
Now it can once again increase from 100 to 150 rupees. Similarly, there can be an increase of about 8 to 9% in rural areas as well. Electricity will also be expensive in Uttarakhand. It is being told that. Electricity prices may also increase by up to 12 percent. Energy Corporation has sent the proposal to the Electricity Regulatory Commission. It can be approved in the meeting to be held this week. This will affect 27 lakh 50 thousand consumers of the state. If seen in this way, liquor is going to be cheaper in the state from the new financial year, then drinking water is going to put more burden on people’s pockets.
