Uttarakhand: CM Dhami inaugurated the three-day National Millet Conference in Mussoorie

Under the aegis of National Council of State Agricultural Marketing Board and Uttarakhand Agricultural Produce Marketing Board, a three-day National Millet Conference was organized in Mussoorie, the queen of mountains, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, he said that India, the nation which gave direction to Miletus in the whole world, has made its own identity. And by agreeing to Prime Minister Modi’s proposal, UNO has declared 2023 as World Miletus Year, which is a big achievement. Speaking on the theme of the National Millets Conference organized at a hotel in Mussoorie, the Chief Minister of the state said that India, the nation which gives direction to millets to the whole world, is making its own identity in the world today. He said that on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the United Nations has declared this year as Miletus year. Which is a great achievement. And it is being celebrated all over the world. In this, traditionally grown coarse grains are being encouraged. Which is named Shri Anna. Farmers are being encouraged for this. And they are easily available in the market.

He said that Shree Anna, which the poor have been producing for years, has not been recognized till date, but due to the efforts of the Prime Minister, Shree Anna has been encouraged and ministers, representatives and scientists from all over the country are present in this conference. Its benefits will also be seen in hilly areas. He said that Jhangora, Koda and other coarse grains are being produced in large quantities in the mountain. Which the government is encouraging and now this Shree Anna has become the food of not only the poor but also of the big people. He said that churning will be done here for three days and the nectar that comes out of it will make it come true. The state government has also decided to encourage the farmers, due to which the farmers will get its benefit, while it will also provide employment.
On the other hand, the state government will integrate Himadri and Hilans brands of millet and make it available to the travelers coming in the coming travel season and it will also be served in hotels. On this occasion, State Agriculture Minister and President of National Kosamb, Ganesh Joshi said that the Prime Minister had started the announcement of Miletus from the International Millet Conference. Ministers, representatives, scientists and representatives of more than 15 states are participating in this three-day conference and discussion and brainstorming will be done to promote coarse grains in this conference. He said that today coarse grains have become food on the plate of the rich. Has gone and man remains healthy by consuming it. He said that the MSP of Manduve has been fixed by the state government and its support price has been kept at 35.78 paise. Due to the work done by Prime Minister Modi in promoting Miletus, this Miletus Day is being celebrated all over the world. Now Manduwa will be given in ration also, jhangora will be given in mid-day meal in schools. Miletus is very beneficial for health.

On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel said that India is an agricultural country and 7 percent people live in villages, but due to the wrong policies of the Congress, the farmer was not getting the full benefit of his crop and the business was in loss. Was. But with the efforts of the Prime Minister, pure grains can be exported to the world along with the common people. This will double the income of the farmers. Today the farmer who used to talk about MSP is getting benefit from Miletus scheme. After Corona, the attention of the world has gone to coarse grains. And now SriAnna and organic food are being demanded all over the world. With the policy that the cost of the farmer should be less and the profit should be more, the government has started it on priority.

In the program, representatives from different states across the country will brainstorm for three days, the benefits of which will be available to the farmers in the coming times.
