An accused of gang-rape, along with two others, set the victim’s house on fire late on Monday evening in a village under Maurawan police station area of ​​Unnao district, causing two innocent people to burn. Apart from father-in-law and brother-in-law, the victim’s mother has accused those who gang-raped her daughter of setting her house on fire.

On February 13, 2022, a 13-year-old girl was raped by three youths of the village, Arun, Satish and Aman, in a village under Maurawan police station area of ​​Unnao. The girl victim of rape had become pregnant. She gave birth to the child at the District Women’s Hospital. After the child became a mother, the police sent the accused to jail. After the incident, the victim told that the accused were constantly pressurizing her to reconcile. Due to non-reconciliation, the accused set the house on fire. Household items got burnt in the fire. The rape victim’s mother alleges that the named accused set her house on fire for not settling the case. On the information of the villagers, the fire brigade reached and the fire was controlled. Firefighters brought the fire under control with the help of villagers.

The rape victim’s four-month-old child and her three-month-old sister were seriously burnt in the fierce fire. Both the scorched children have been referred from the health center to the district hospital. On the incident, Circle Officer Purva Santosh Kumar said that the victim’s house was allegedly set on fire by her father-in-law and brother-in-law, besides she was gang-raped by the accused. He said, “On the complaint of the victim, an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC. Efforts are on to make possible the arrest of the accused. The CO said “Two infants, including the victim’s four-month-old son and her relative’s three-month-old daughter, are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
