Uttarakhand / Rishikesh: Brake failed! Road roller entered the house by breaking the wall, now the department will repair the damaged house

Due to brake failure of road roller near Gurdwara Singh Sabha on the railway road, it went uncontrolled and entered a house. Fortunately, there was no casualty in the incident, whereas the house was damaged. The PWD department has taken up the responsibility of repairing it.

In Rishikesh, near Gurudwara Singh Sabha on the railway road, suddenly the brake of the road roller of the PWD department failed. As soon as the brake failed, the roller started running back on the slope. Uncontrolled, the roller entered a house. During this, the mother and brother of the landlady Devand Kaur, who were sitting outside the house, narrowly escaped. Seeing the incident, a huge crowd of people gathered on the spot. The landlady also appeared angry on the loss of the house. The driver of the road roller fled from the spot. After some time Assistant Engineer of PWD Department Rajesh Chauhan and Junior Engineer Rahul Kumar arrived.

He closely inspected the incident. Assured the landlady that whatever damage has happened to her house. The PWD department will compensate for that. After which the landlady’s anger calmed down. Assistant Engineer Rajesh Chauhan told that the roller was going to complete the work of G20. During this, the accident happened due to brake failure. Thankfully there was no loss of life. At present, the landlady has been informed in writing that the damaged house will be repaired soon.
