Meteorological Department issued another alert, winds will blow at a speed of 60 KMPH, clouds will rain again

The cyclonic storm Biparjoy coming in the Arabian Sea is expected to become more dangerous in the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department said on Saturday that it is moving north-northeast in the Arabian Sea. It can reach Gujarat by Sunday or Monday. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Bharatpur, Churu, Sikar, Nagaur, Jaipur city, Dausa and Sawaimadhopur districts. The Meteorological Department says that during this time winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour.
15 transformers damaged, power supply will be possible till this evening
According to JVVNL Superintending Engineer BL Verma, five transformers of 3 phase and 6 transformers of single phase were damaged in the district due to storm and rain. Also, 5 poles were broken, due to which power supply failed at many places, especially in the rural areas around Bharatpur city. About 50 teams were contracted in 1300 divisions in the district and teams of electricians were employed, due to which power supply was made smooth in about 75 percent areas till Saturday. Power supply will start in the rest of the area by Sunday. Due to this heavy rain, the Electricity Department has suffered a loss of about 1.25 crore rupees. Where water supply is dependent on electricity supply. Taking those areas on priority, power supply has been started.
20 poles fell in the city
On the other hand, in Bharatpur city, four transformers were damaged and 20 poles fell. According to SP Singh, Public Relations Officer of BESL, since the storm, more than a thousand calls have been received regarding the power problem. In such a situation, the BESL team is busy in smoothening the power supply. Electricity supply has been made smooth in almost all areas after repairing poles and transformers.
