Maharashtra: Big blow to NCP, Ajit Pawar rebels with 18 MLAs, Shinde joins government

There has been a big political upheaval in Maharashtra. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar reached Raj Bhavan with 18 MLAs and joined the Shinde government. Ajit Pawar has been given the post of Deputy Chief Minister. At the same time, along with him, 9 supporting MLAs have also been administered the oath of office.

Earlier, a meeting was held at the residence of Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar in Maharashtra. It included both the working presidents of the party, Supriya Sule and Praful Patel. After this, all these leaders went straight to the Raj Bhavan. Shortly after this, leaders of the ruling party also started arriving at the Raj Bhavan.

Please inform that even after the 2019 elections, Ajit Power had taken oath at the Raj Bhavan. Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister. Although his government could not run.

Significantly, for some time everything was not going well in NCP. Sharad Pawar had even announced his resignation from the stage. Later he made Supriya Sule and Chhagan Bhujbal the working presidents. However, no one was aware of the sudden big upheaval.
