Uttarakhand: CM Dhami’s big announcement, 3 months electricity bill waived in disaster affected areas

It may be noted that last day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the disaster affected areas of Haridwar, after which a Damkothi meeting was organized in which Chief Minister Dhami announced to waive the electricity bills of 3 months in the disaster affected areas and postpone the loan installments of state and cooperative banks for 3 months. Chief Minister Dhami, along with reviewing the progress of relief and rescue works in relation to water-logging, directed to declare the disaster affected area only after the assessment of the Disaster Management Department in consultation with the officials.(Uttarakhand electricity bill free)
According to Chief Minister Dhami, discussions are being held with the central government regarding this work of crores of rupees to be done on the Solani river dam. According to sources, work will be done on a special package in Solani river and surrounding areas. Along with this, Chief Minister Dhami said that a long-term plan is being prepared to deal with the situation of water-logging in rural and urban areas wherever it rains. Flood relief centers will also be set up by the government in those areas which are declared disaster prone.
