‘There is no question of resignation, if the Center says…’, Manipur CM N Biren Singh said – I have been elected by the people

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has made it clear that he will not resign from his post. Questions are being raised on the law and order situation in the state due to the ongoing violent incidents and the demand for the resignation of the Chief Minister is also being raised. Meanwhile, he said in an interview that there is no question of resignation, but he is ready to do so if the central leadership asks.
The opposition is demanding the resignation of Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh after a video of two women being paraded naked surfaced. According to India Today’s report, Biren Singh was asked that there are discussions about his resignation and such things are also happening that BJP may ask him to resign. In response to this, he said that the people of Manipur have elected him. “There is no question of resigning, but yes, if the central leadership says and the people of Manipur want, I will quit,” he said.
CM said, no one asked me to resign
He said that he is a worker of the world’s biggest political party and is the Chief Minister of the state. “I will have to follow whatever orders the central leadership gives. For the time being, my first responsibility is to restore law and order in Manipur and restore peace at the earliest. No one has asked me to resign yet,” he said.
He blamed illegal immigrants and drug smugglers for the situation in the state and said that we tried our best to curb it. He said that there are 34 tribes in the state, including Kuki and Meitai. There is unity among the people who are already living here, but some people are burning the state in the name of holding rallies.
Chief Minister said, working to maintain law and order
The Chief Minister also said that we are constantly keeping an eye on whether anyone is entering the state illegally. He said that the state and the central government are working with the army to restore law and order in the state and it is expected that the situation will return to normal soon.
During this, he was also questioned about the steps taken by the government regarding the murder and rape of women, to which he said that out of a total of 6,068 FIRs, there is also a case of rape. He claimed that rape has not been confirmed in the murder of two women at a car service center last week.
