Uttarakhand: CM Dhami participated in the commencement ceremony of Doon University, also released books, appealed to the students
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the initiation ceremony of newly admitted students organized at Doon University, Dehradun on Wednesday. On this occasion, he also inaugurated the Open Air Theater and School of Management building in Doon University campus. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami released books titled “Changing Paradigms in Business and Technology” and “Innovative Management Practices” on the occasion.
While interacting with the students, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that students will play an important role in making Uttarakhand an excellent state. The future of the state depends on the future of the youth here. Along with studies, the youth progress in every field, for this the state government is standing with the youth. While congratulating the students who attended the commencement ceremony, the Chief Minister said that a new chapter in life has begun with the entry into higher education. The importance of education in life has been there since ancient times. Admission to higher education is an innovative moment to indicate the importance of knowledge in life. This moment will remain fresh in your memories for the rest of your life.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Uttarakhand has been the workplace of great sages since centuries. Who propagated and disseminated Indian knowledge tradition not only in India but in the whole world. Even today many of our educational institutions are known for their educational activities not only in the country but globally. Taking forward the rich knowledge tradition of Uttarakhand, Doon University is making continuous progress in the field of education. The Chief Minister said that youth is the biggest power of life, on its strength you can convert challenges into opportunities and with your creativity you can set new records in various fields. At present, several programs are being run by the Central and State Governments in the direction of motivating and encouraging the youth to cooperate in nation building. Continuous efforts are being made to make Uttarakhand the leading state of the country. Continuous work is being done to fulfill our “unchosen resolve” to make Uttarakhand the best state by establishing dialogue with the public.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy 2020. Dr. Nityanand Himalayan Research and Study Center has also been established in Doon University to work in the field of conservation, promotion and research of folk languages, dialects and literature of Uttarakhand under the National Education Policy. This research center is playing an important role in preserving and promoting the languages and literature of the state. Along with this, new courses have also been started in foreign languages. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many works are being done for qualitative improvement in the field of education and higher education. He said that along with education, special attention is being given to the youth for their skill development to work in the direction of society and nation building.
Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that admission festival programs are being organized in various colleges of Uttarakhand state. More than 71 thousand students have applied for admission in various colleges through Samarth portal. He said that an e-library has been arranged for degree colleges in the state of Uttarakhand. Academic calendar has also been issued so that the studies of the students are not affected by other programs in the college. The state government has decided to hold the convocation ceremony of all the universities of Uttarakhand state in the month of November. Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme is being given for meritorious students in the state. The government is constantly working to ensure that the universities of Uttarakhand state become included in the country’s best schools. During this, MLA Vinod Chamoli, Vice Chancellor Doon University Surekha Dangwal and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
