For the last one and a half month, Garhwal Kumaon division and Terai areas are affected by disaster due to monsoon. In such a situation, the government has proved to be a complete failure in providing relief to the disaster affected people.
Government is not visible in this hour of disaster
Suryakant Dhasmana said that one day the Chief Minister expressed his displeasure. After that, the minister in-charge went to the areas under his charge for one day, fulfilling the formalities. But since then till now the minister in charge is missing from the areas under his charge. He said that only Chief Minister Pushkar Singh is keeping an eye on the control room while visiting Dhami, but in this hour of disaster, the government, officers and the system to fight the disaster are nowhere to be seen.
Questions raised about dengue and eye flu
Suryakant Dhasmana has also attacked the government regarding dengue and eye flu spreading in Dehradun. He said that the outbreak of dengue remains from the rainy season till October. As of now, all the government hospitals are full of dengue patients, but the health department is nowhere to be seen fighting these diseases. The State Vice President of Congress said that he is going to take stock of the Doon Hospital, so that the health department’s attention is drawn towards the Doon Hospital which is suffering from shortage of beds. On the other hand, if the situation does not improve even after that, then the Congress will be forced to launch a big movement. The health department is not making any arrangements to prevent dengue and eye flu.
