Uttar Pradesh: Agencies busy searching for helpers of suspected terrorist Arshad Warsi, he was coming to Moradabad continuously for three years
After the arrest of suspected terrorist Arshad Warsi, now UP ATS and other agencies have started searching for his helpers. The investigation so far has revealed that Arshad had come to Moradabad several times in the last three years and stayed here. During this time some other people also came to meet him.
Information about the suspicious people is being collected through mobile call details of Arshad and his in-laws. The Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested Jharkhand resident Arshad Warsi from Moradabad and taken him along.
During interrogation, it was revealed that he was hiding in his in-laws’ house in Lal Masjid area of Moradabad. Even on Wednesday, UP ATS, LIU and other investigating agencies were busy investigating Arshad’s network. Investigation has also revealed that he had come to Moradabad several times in the last three years.
During this time many people had come in contact with him. The teams have interrogated the in-laws and his wife. However, the in-laws have only told the teams that they do not know anything except that Arshad is an engineer.
They have no information about who he was in contact with. Apart from the mobile details of the people who were in contact with him, their social media accounts are also being scrutinised.
Arshad had done recce of many cities including Moradabad
Arshad did engineering from Aligarh University. After this he went to Delhi and was doing PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia University. He was living in Okhla, Delhi. Arshad along with his associates had also carried out blasts to know the effect of the bomb.
It has also come to light in the investigation that Arshad had done recce of many cities including Moradabad. Pictures of crowded areas were also made. The neighboring districts including Moradabad were not the target of suspected terrorists. This is also being investigated.
We used to talk through telegram
Arshad Warsi had done engineering. He used to talk to his colleagues and bosses through telegram. He used to switch off the ID after the conversation and apart from this he also switched off his mobile before changing the mobile. Due to this, the Special Cell of Delhi Police and NIA were finding it difficult to reach him.
