Uttar Pradesh / Moradabad: Thugs boarded the first flight at the airport, extorting huge amounts of money from youth in the name of jobs
Moradabad airport is not yet operational but fraud has started in the name of providing jobs there. This came to light when people started arriving at the airport gate with fake joining letters. Someone said that we have been hired to manage the mall that is going to be opened inside the airport.
Whereas someone had come to join the office assistant job at the airport considering it as confirmed. All these people have paid a huge amount to get the job. According to Airport Authority of India officials, some outsider fraudsters are cheating the local people.
Many people have come to the airport gate with fake appointment letters. In this way many people have become victims of fraud till now. AAI has appealed to the people not to be misled by anyone.
Apply for a job at the airport only after confirmation from the district administration or airport authority. At present no appointments are being made at the airport.
Case-1
Some youths had reached the airport gate 20 days ago. He said that he has been kept for the management of malls and shops in the airport. He also cited various documents but no such recruitment was done at the airport. The airport team explained to the youth. After this he realized that he had been cheated.
Case-2
A young man reached the airport assuming his job was confirmed to make check-in and other arrangements. He told at the gate that some aviation service has appointed him at Moradabad airport. Whereas the airport team had no information about this.
No appointments are being made at the airport right now. Many times youth have been turned back from the gate. There is an appeal to everyone not to get misled by anyone. Before applying for a job at the airport, confirm it with the district administration or AAI. – Sandeep Kumar, Airport Director.
Can get flying license this week
After DGCA inspection at the airport, work on all the points mentioned has been completed. AAI officials have completed all the documents. After completing the work on all the points, a letter has also been sent to DGCA. Now the license for flying is expected to be received this week.
Experts believe that the inauguration date will also be announced in October itself. Before Diwali, people will be able to enjoy air travel from Moradabad. The initial flight from Moradabad will be for Lucknow and Kanpur.
At present it takes seven hours to go to Lucknow by road and five and a half hours to go to Lucknow by rail. Whereas by air route this journey will be only one to one and a half hours. Whereas the distance to Kanpur can be covered in two hours.
Although the fare list has not been released yet, it is believed that the flight will be available by spending almost the same amount as the train fare. The airport director says that a letter has been sent to DGCA informing them about the entire situation.
There are no obstacles left now. License to start services may be obtained soon. Big Charter Company has been selected to provide aviation services.
