Train derails due to track fault in Bihar! Report revealed, operations could not start even after 36 hours
Kamakhya North-East Express suddenly derailed near Raghunathpur station in Buxar, Bihar. Preliminary investigation into the cause of the accident has been completed. This investigation report has revealed that the train derailed due to track fault. In the accident, 21 bogies of the train derailed and all four tracks including two main and two loop lines were damaged. Railways has estimated a loss of more than Rs 52 crore in this accident.
Operation could not start even after 36 hours
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay- Even after 36 hours of the train accident near Raghunathpur railway station of Patna railway section, operations have not started yet. After the incident, railway workers are busy repairing the track and removing the bogies, so that operations can be started as soon as possible. This is the busiest route of Delhi-Howrah. The work of re-operation of trains on this track is going on war footing. After the incident that occurred on Wednesday night, the work of removing the bogie is going on continuously with the help of two cranes, a dozen Poklanes and JCB. So far 14 coaches have been removed. Railway workers are working day and night to repair the platforms including tracks and overhead wires.
Many trains canceled, some operated through diverted routes
Due to the accident, many trains are being diverted and run on other routes. Whereas many trains have been cancelled, due to which passengers are facing a lot of trouble. CPRO of East Central Railway, Virendra Kumar said that railway personnel are working day and night. Operations can be started any time.
