Five independents in the second list of Congress in Rajasthan, party announced names of 43 candidates

Congress on Sunday released the second list of 43 candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections. In this, tickets have also been given to five independent MLAs supporting the present Ashok Gehlot government.

13 ministers got tickets
Despite Sonia Gandhi’s instructions, the names of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal and Water Supply Minister Mahesh Joshi, who prevented MLAs from reaching the Legislative Party meeting, are not even in the second list. Both are considered confidants of Gehlot. 13 ministers have also been given tickets in the list.

After two lists of BJP candidates came out, Congress on Saturday released the first list of 33 candidates, in which the names of Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot were there. Congress has declared the names of candidates for 76 out of 200 seats.

Zuber Khan will contest elections from Ramgarh
In the list released on Sunday, former Chief Secretary of the state Niranjan Arya, who came into politics after retiring from the post of IAS, has been made the candidate from Sojat. In place of Safia Zuber, her husband Congress National Secretary Zuber Khan will contest elections from Ramgarh.

Independents supporting Gehlot government
Congress ticket has been given to Babulal Nagar from Dudu, Sanyam Lodha from Sirohi, Omprakash Hudla from Mahua, Khusbir Singh from Marwar Junction and Laxman Meena from Bassi seat.

The party has fielded Medical Minister Parsadi Lal Meena from Lalsot, Food Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas from Civil Lines, Disaster Minister Govind Ram Meghwal from Khajuwala, Education Minister BD Kalla from Bikaner East.

Ola to Transport Minister Brijendra, Kotputli to Minister of State for Home Rajendra Yadav, Deeg to Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh, Vair to Public Works Minister Bhajan Lal Jatav, Cooperation Minister Udaylal Anjana to Nimbahera, Jagdish Jangid to Sadul City, Gurmit Singh to Kunnar Karanpur, Dungarram to Gaidar. Got ticket from Suratgarh.

Vinod Kumar to Hanumangarh, Sushila Dudi to Nokha, Anil Kumar Sharma to Sardarshahr, Rajkumar Sharma to Nawalgarh, Hakamali to Fatehpur, Suresh Modi to Neem Ka Thana, Amin Kagzi to Kishanpol, Rafiq Khan to Adarsh Nagar, Laxman Meena to Bassi, Shakuntala Rawat to Bansur, Rohit Bohra to Rajkheda, Ashok Bairwa to Khandar, Naseem Akhtar to Pushkar, Raghu Sharma to Kekdi, Mahendra Chaudhary to Nawan, Sukhram Vishnoi to Sanchore, Mevaram to Barmer, Dayaram Parmar to Kherwara, Pushkar Lal to Mavli, Raghuveer Meena to Salumber. Earlier on Saturday, Congress had released the first list of 33 candidates. The names of prominent leaders like Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, CP Joshi, Govind Singh Dotasara were included in this list.

It should be noted that in the 2018 assembly elections, Congress had captured 99 out of 200 seats, while BJP had won 73 seats. Later, Congress formed the government under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot with the support of BSP and independent MLAs.
