This incident is from Karnataka. Where 32 year old constable Kishore D was posted at Chamarajanagar East Police Station in Ramsamudra, Chamarajanagar. He is married. But his 24-year-old wife Pratibha was at her maternal home in Kolathur village of Hosakote police station area as she was pregnant. Where she had given birth to a baby girl just 11 days ago. During this time the teenager was desperate to see his newborn daughter. So, he took leave from his police station and left for Hosakote, 232 kilometers away from Chamarajanagar.

Police constable Kishore D was going to his in-laws’ house. But no one knew what was going on in his mind. He had reached his wife’s house after traveling for a few hours. The wife’s family treated Kishore with great respect. Kishore was there when his in-laws went out of the house for some work on Monday. Now only Kishore, his wife Pratibha and newborn daughter were present in the house.

Then suddenly Kishore reached Pratibha’s room and before Pratibha could understand or control herself, Kishore strangled her. Pratibha started in pain, but it was as if a demon was riding on Kishore’s head. He did not release Pratibha’s throat until she died. Now Pratibha had died. His body had become lifeless.

Now Kishore took a deep breath and then without knowing what occurred to him, he picked up a saree, put it in the fan and started tying it around his wife’s neck. Actually, he was trying to make this murder a suicide. But then her in-laws came back home. Seeing them the teenager got nervous and quickly ran away from there.

After Kishore ran away, when his parents-in-law saw their daughter, they immediately knew that their daughter was no more in this world. Knowing this the ground slipped from under his feet. There was mourning in the house. Then he informed this matter to Hosakote police. Police reached the spot and took Pratibha’s body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Now the police was searching for the teenager.

Meanwhile, Hosakote police registered a case of murder and intensified the search for the teenager. During this time the police came to know that the accused was none other than a policeman. Actually, after murdering Pratibha, the killer policeman Kishore had gone to his hometown Kolar. Where he tried to commit suicide by drinking pesticide. Due to which he was admitted to the ICU ward of RL Jalappa Hospital, Tamaka. Where her treatment is going on. However, his condition is said to be serious. Hoskote police took him to another hospital. According to the police, the teenager will be arrested after his release.

During the investigation, the police involved in the investigation of this case came to know that Kishore and Pratibha got married only last year. But after a few days of marriage, there were frequent fights between them. The reason for which was that Kishore always doubted his wife’s character. He used to directly accuse her and harass Pratibha with insulting behaviour. It is said that due to her troubled marital life, Pratibha’s family members had consoled her several times.

Kishore’s wife Pratibha was a younger daughter of Subramani, secretary of Bettahalasur Gram Panchayat. He did BE in Computer Science. After this, she got married to Kishore on November 13, 2022. Kishore is a resident of Veerpura in Kolar district.

Police claim that Kishore was suspicious of Pratibha’s character and would often check her call logs and messages, checking the background of anyone who spoke to her or sent her messages. Additionally, he claimed that she was living in close quarters with some of her male college roommates.

Last Sunday night, for some reason, Kishore called his wife Pratibha and started scolding her. Pratibha’s mother Venkatalakshmamma picked up the phone and disconnected the call crying. Pratibha’s mother warned her that if she continued crying, it would have a negative impact on the health of her newborn baby. He advised Pratibha not to pick up Kishore’s call.

After this, the next morning Pratibha came to know that Kishore had called her 150 times. Pratibha informed her parents about this situation. According to the police, the teenager reached Pratibha’s house i.e. her in-laws at 11.30 am on Monday. When he reached home, Venkatalakshamma was going to the terrace for some work. Whereas Pratibha and her newborn daughter were present on the ground floor of the house.

Now there were only Kishore, Pratibha and their newborn daughter in the room. According to the police, at that very moment the teenager closed the door of the room from inside. Before that he had consumed some insecticide. After this he strangled Pratiba to death with a dupatta. After some time, Venkatalakshamma came down from the terrace and knocked on the door of the room, but no one answered.

Fearing something untoward, he knocked on the door again and asked Kishore to open the door. Fifteen minutes later he did the same. After opening the door, Kishore said that he killed Pratibha and then ran away from there. Later the police detained him in Kolar hospital and admitted him to another hospital. Where he is being treated.

Pratibha’s family members have now demanded that the teenager be given rigorous imprisonment for life. Apart from this, he said that Kishore’s mother used to harass her daughter for dowry. A case of murder has been registered against the teenager on the complaint of Pratibha’s father.
