Wrestlers filed arguments in court against Brij Bhushan Singh, given time till December 6

The lawyer of the complainant women wrestlers filed written arguments in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday to frame charges against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

The court has listed the case for December 6 for filing written arguments by the prosecution. Parties can also file additional written submissions till the next date. Whereas the accused have already filed their written arguments.

BJP MP’s lawyer had filed the reply
Earlier in the last hearing on October 30, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjeet Singh Jaspal had given three weeks’ time to the lawyers of the parties to file their written arguments so that they could be completed in an orderly manner.

On Wednesday, BJP MP Singh’s lawyer filed a reply, following which the judge posted the matter for further proceedings on November 28. Earlier, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh had questioned the jurisdiction of the court hearing the case and claimed that none of the alleged crimes had taken place in India.
