Bihar / Vaishali: Office boy serving tea became kidnapper, kidnapped officer and demanded ransom of Rs 5 crore

A big revelation has come to light in the kidnapping case of a senior education department official, Uday Kumar Ujjwal, in Vaishali, Bihar. Police investigation has revealed that his office boy had conspired in this kidnapping and had demanded Rs 5 crore as ransom.
The accused office boy, along with the officer’s driver and others, had planned to kidnap his own boss. Police have arrested 4 kidnappers including office boy and driver.
In fact, 3 days ago, senior education department official Uday Kumar Ujjwal was kidnapped in Hajipur when he was returning from Hajipur to Patna in his car. The kidnapped officers were posted on senior posts in the education department of Vaishali.
On the night of 16-17 December, while going from his office in Hajipur to Patna (home), kidnappers overtook and stopped the officer’s car at Lalu Prasad Yadav Chowk in Sonpur, made the driver come down from the car and kidnapped the officer along with the car.
Kidnapped by 6 kidnappers
In Sonpur, 6 kidnappers riding on a bike stopped the government vehicle of District Program Coordinator Uday Kumar Ujjwal, beat up the driver, drove him away, made him sit in his own vehicle and kept roaming around Hajipur and Sonpur throughout the night. Kidnappers were demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore from this officer.
After the news of kidnapping and ransom of the officer, Vaishali and Chhapra police came into action. A search operation was started by creating a blockade. The car of the kidnappers carrying the officer got stuck in a drain in Senduari of Hajipur Sadar police station area, after which the officer, seeing the opportunity, escaped.
The office boy who served tea turned out to be the mastermind
After the FIR, a surprising revelation was made in the investigation and the officer’s office boy and driver turned out to be the mastermind of the kidnapping. The entire planning was done by the office boy deployed in the officer’s office to make tea and serve it to the sir from 9 am to 5 pm. The officer said that after kidnapping him, the accused tried to make him unconscious but he saw the opportunity and ran away.
Regarding this matter, Saran SP Gaurav Mangla said that on the night of 16-17 December, an FIR was registered in Sonpur police station in the case of kidnapping for ransom. When a government official Uday Kumar Ujjwal was returning from Hajipur to Patna, he was kidnapped along with his car by some criminals midway in Sonpur.
He said, after receiving the information, the police took action and chased the criminals in the direction of their escape. During this time, the officer who was kidnapped was found on the way. Raids are being conducted to arrest other accused.
