Election Commission sent letter to Chief Secretaries regarding Lok Sabha elections, instructions given for transfer of officers
While the political parties in the country are busy in their preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission of India is also busy in completing all the formalities before the elections. In this regard, by writing a letter to the Chief Secretaries of the states, ECI has issued instructions related to the transfer of officers. Before the elections, such officers are transferred in the states, who are either posted in their home districts or have been posted at the same place for more than 3 years. Instructions related to this have been given to various states.
A letter has been written to the states on behalf of the Election Commission of India. Uttarakhand government is already busy in exercising regarding transfers of officers in the state. The data of District Magistrate, IPS, PCS and PPS posted in the same district for more than 3 years is also being scrutinized. Apart from this, such officers are also being identified at the district level, who are either posted in their home district or have been posted at the same place for more than 3 years.
Experts say that for this a long list is being prepared at the government level. In this, a list of PCS and PPS officers including many IAS and IPS has been prepared. It is reported that soon the list related to the governance and transfers of IAS officers at the district level may be released. On the other hand, officers who have been posted at the same place for more than 3 years are also seen taking action regarding their transfer. Murmurs are also being heard among the officers for new postings.
