Soldier Pankaj Kanyal was cremated with military honours. Army, ex-servicemen organization, regional MP Ajay Tamta and MLA Bishan Singh Chufal paid tribute to Jawan Pankaj Singh Kanyal by offering floral tributes. According to the information received, the dead body of the soldier was brought to his residence in Mangalore. The soldiers of the ex-servicemen organization also reached the house of the deceased soldier and paid tribute to him by offering him a flower circle. The last journey of the soldier was taken out.

The soldier was cremated with military honors at Ramganga Ghat in Muwani. His elder brother Mohit Kanyal and cousin Puran Kanyal lit the funeral pyre.
