UN demands investigation against Israel for killing unarmed Palestinians

The United Nations Human Rights Office has called for an independent investigation into allegations that Israeli forces killed 11 unarmed Palestinians. The UN has described this action of the Israeli Army as a war crime. The UN office said in its statement, “The Israeli authorities should immediately conduct an independent, thorough and effective investigation into these allegations and, if found to be true, those responsible should be punished.” Measures should be implemented to prevent such incidents in future.

Shot in front of family members
Qatari media Al Jazeera spoke to several witnesses present during the Israeli army raid on Tuesday. Witnesses reported that Israeli forces surrounded a building, searched every floor, separated the men from the women and children, and shot and killed 11 men in front of their family members. Eyewitnesses also said that the people who were shot were in the age group of 20 to 30 years. A witness told that my brother-in-law tried to explain to the army that he was not a Hamas fighter but a common citizen, yet he was shot.

Israeli army also opened fire on the woman
Survivors of this Israeli army attack also told that Israeli soldiers ordered women and children to go to a room in the residential block also known as Annan Building and attacked them too. “The Israeli soldiers locked all the women in a room, then fired three mortar shells at us, then continued firing at us with their machine guns,” Al-Jazeera reported.
