Pregnant woman dies due to lack of treatment
Another woman died due to poor health services in Tehri Garhwal district. Due to labor pain in Pratapnagar, the family took Ramchandri Devi (32) wife Dhanpal to Community Health Center Chaund Lambgaon on Wednesday morning. But after three hours at the Community Health Centre, the woman’s condition started deteriorating. On which the doctors referred him to the district hospital Bauradi. But the woman died before reaching there.
The family took her to the hospital due to labor pain
Let us tell you that on Wednesday morning Ramchandri Devi (32), wife of Dhanapal started suffering from labor pain. After which the family took him to CHC Chaund at 9 in the morning. Here the doctors said that Ramachandri Devi would have a normal delivery. After which he was admitted. But after three hours Ramachandri Devi’s condition started deteriorating.
On which the doctor advised to refer him and called the emergency ambulance service 108. After which the ambulance reached the hospital at around quarter to one. After which the family took him by ambulance to the district hospital Bauradi. But the woman died before reaching the hospital. Local people say that if doctors had informed about referral on time, Ramachandri Devi’s life could have been saved.
The hospital says something else
Regarding the death of the pregnant woman, the hospital management says that the woman had an epileptic attack during labor pain. When such a situation arises, the case becomes quite risky. Therefore he was referred to a higher centre. However, the woman has no history of epilepsy before this.
People are facing problems due to lack of doctors
Health services are in bad shape in Uttarkashi district. Local people are continuously demanding for the deployment of specialist doctors in hospitals. But the health department would not even listen to it. Even people are dying due to lack of treatment. Pregnant women as well as other patients are suffering the consequences of the poor condition of health services.
A pregnant woman had also died four months ago
Congress District President Rakesh Rana says that the condition of health facilities in the district has gone from bad to worse. Four months ago, on October 8, pregnant Devki Devi (28) of Onalgaon, wife of Jagmohan, also died due to lack of similar treatment.
