Order to hand over the survey report of Gyanvapi complex to Hindu-Muslim side, will the investigation be public?

Varanasi District Court on Wednesday ordered the survey report of Gyanvapi Masjid complex to be handed over to all the parties. Hindu side’s advocate Madan Mohan Yadav said that District Judge AK Vishwesh has said in his order that the survey report of Gyanvapi complex should be handed over to all the parties.

Muslim side appealed not to make the survey report public

During this period, the Muslim side placed a demand before the District Judge that the report of the survey should remain with the parties only and should not be made public. On this, the District Judge said that all the parties should get the survey report by submitting an affidavit in the court that they will keep the report to themselves and not make it public.

Survey was conducted of Gyanvapi Mosque complex

Following the district court’s July 21 order last year, the ASI had conducted a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi complex, located next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple, to determine whether the mosque was built on the pre-existing structure of a Hindu temple or No.

Both sides agree to take hard copy

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side, said that today the court heard both the parties and a consensus was reached that the hard copy of the ASI report will be provided to both the parties. Vishnu Shankar Jain said the ASI objected to providing the report through email. Therefore, both Hindu and Muslim parties agreed to receive hard copies of the report.

Hindu side will apply soon

Hindu side’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain said that the certified copy of the ASI report will be made available to the Hindu and Muslim sides. Our legal team will soon apply to the court for a certified copy. Let us tell you that a petition was filed in Varanasi court regarding the survey report.
