Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Bullion trader’s courage overpowered armed robbers, two arrested

The courage of the unarmed bullion merchant outweighed the three armed robbers. In Laxmanpur area of Vikas Nagar, a businessman single-handedly fought with miscreants who entered his shop with the intention of robbing. After a scuffle that lasted for about seven minutes, when other traders started gathering, the miscreants started running away. Meanwhile, the businessman caught one miscreant, while two others escaped.
During the struggle, the miscreants fired at the businessman from the pistol and when he missed, hit him several times on the face with the butt of the pistol. Even after being injured, the businessman did not lose courage.
After this incident, the police set up a blockade and started searching for the absconding accused. Meanwhile, another miscreant was arrested after the encounter at Asan Barrage. He was shot twice in the leg and stomach. The arrested criminals are residents of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Vikasnagar resident Sanjeev Rana has a shop named New Rana Jewelers in the market located in Laxmanpur. Due to rain on Sunday, the market was less crowded than other days. At around six in the evening, three miscreants covered with blankets and mouths covered with mufflers entered Sanjeev’s shop and asked to show the gold chain. Sanjeev started removing the chain.
Meanwhile, one miscreant went to the other side of the counter and grabbed the sales girl by the throat and the other put the gun on Sanjeev’s head. But Sanjeev fought with the miscreant without caring for his life. On this the miscreant opened fire, which missed.
After this, the miscreant hit the businessman several times on his face with the butt of the gun, but he did not step back. Meanwhile, hearing the screams, nearby traders came out of their shops. Seeing this, two other criminals ran away, while the third one was caught by Sanjeev.
After some time, Kotwal Rajesh Sah, SSI Sanjeet Kumar and outpost in-charge Sanoj Kumar reached the spot. The traders handed over the caught criminal Naveen Saini, resident of Dharmapuri Colony, Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh). The police took the injured businessman to the hospital and got him treated and then examined the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the shop.
Sales girl in panic
One of the miscreants who had come with the intention of robbing the bullion trader tried to strangulate the sales girl present in the shop, due to which she is in panic. There is anger among the traders of the city due to this incident.

Activity of outside miscreants increasing in Pachhwadun
The activity of miscreants from other states is increasing in Pachhwadun. Even after the robbery that took place in the showroom of Reliance Jewels in Dehradun in November last year, the police is not showing seriousness in this regard. After this incident, a theft took place at a bullion trader’s house in Selaqui and now an attempt to rob was made in Vikasnagar.
A few months ago, a farmer who was going home after withdrawing Rs 5 lakh from the PNB branch in Herbertpur was robbed. A cyclist was killed ahead of the Lehman Bridge. Miscreants from other states were found involved in all these incidents.
