Uttarakhand: Chief Electoral Officer held a meeting regarding election related preparations, gave instructions to pay special attention to voter awareness program
Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam has directed to pay special attention to voter awareness program to increase the vote percentage in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He said that for this, along with sweep activities, support from print, electronic and social media should be taken. Youth should be connected to voter awareness programs through social media.
Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam was reviewing the election related preparations with the nodal officers in his office located at the Secretariat. Dr. Purushottam said that all preparations should be completed within the time limit given by the Election Commission of India. He said that the State Deployment Plan should be prepared as per the standards of the Security Management Plan and the Commission. He said that training of election related personnel is most important. It should be ensured that the personnel receive training with full seriousness. Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Purushottam said that many important initiatives like Sea Vigil have been taken by the Election Commission of India. This information should reach the people as much as possible. Booth wise strategy should be made to increase the vote percentage. Booth level awareness groups should be activated.
