‘Congress is the mother of instability, nepotism and appeasement, it is hatching conspiracies even today’, PM Modi’s attack in BJP convention

PM Modi addressed the national convention of BJP held at Bharat Mandapam on Sunday. He started his address by paying tribute to Jain sage Vidyasagar. PM Modi said, ‘This is like a personal loss for me. I met him several times over the years. Just a few months ago, I changed my tour schedule and went to meet him early in the morning… Little did I know then that I would never… never be able to see him again. Today, on behalf of all the countrymen, I pay homage to Saint Shiromani Acharya Shri 108 Pujya Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj with reverence and respect. Saying this, the Prime Minister’s throat choked, he became emotional and stopped his address for some time.

While instilling enthusiasm among BJP workers and officials for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi said, ‘BJP workers keep doing something or the other to serve the country every day of the year, 24 hours a day. But now the next 100 days are to work with new energy, new zeal, new enthusiasm, new confidence and new enthusiasm. Today opposition leaders are also raising slogans against NDA government 400. And to make NDA cross 400, BJP will have to cross the milestone of 370. PM Modi targeted Congress and called it the mother of instability, nepotism and appeasement. He said that Congress is also hatching conspiracies.

‘We showed courage to solve the tasks which were pending for centuries’

Talking about the work done towards women empowerment during the tenure of his government, PM Modi said, ‘Today BJP is making youth power, women power, power of poor and farmers the power to build a developed India. We have asked Him whom no one has asked, and not only this, we have worshiped Him. In the times to come, there will be opportunities for our mothers, sisters and daughters. Mission Shakti will create a complete ecosystem for the protection and empowerment of women power in the country. 15 thousand women SHGs will get drones. Now Drone Didi will bring scientificity and modernity in farming. Now 3 crore women in the country will be made Lakhpati Didi. We have shown the courage to solve the problems which were pending for centuries. By building a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, we have ended the wait of 5 centuries. The religious flag has been hoisted in Pavagadh, Gujarat after 500 years. After 7 decades we have opened Kartarpur Sahib Highway. After waiting for 7 decades, the country has got freedom from Article 370.

‘We are working to make India a developed country by 2047’

PM Narendra Modi, while targeting the opposition in his address during the national convention of BJP, said, ‘Our opposition parties may not know how to complete the schemes. But they have no answer for making false promises. Today all these political parties are scared of making a promise. That is the promise – of a developed India, and this is our promise. Only the BJP and NDA alliance has dreamed of this. We are working to make India a developed country by 2047. We have been working silently for one and a half years for suggestions related to the resolution of developed India. You will be happy to know that till now more than 15 lakh people have put forth their ideas for the roadmap and policies of a developed India. Of these 15 lakh, more than half are people whose age is less than 35. We are moving forward with this youthful thinking.

‘1 trillion in 60 years, we reached 3 trillion dollars in 10 years’

It took 60 years for India to reach the $1 trillion economy. We have taken it to a $3 trillion economy in our 10 years. The previous government failed to take India from 11th to 10th largest global economy. In contrast, BJP has taken India to the top 5. Today, India stands as the 5th largest economy, and our infrastructure budget has exceeded Rs 11 lakh crore. We are preparing for Youth Olympics in India in 2029. Those who ruled our country for years after independence had created a system. In that system only people from a few big families remained at the center of power. Only the people living around him continued to get political power. Only those close to the family were promoted to important positions. We changed this system also.

‘India is working to host the Olympic Games in 2036’

PM Modi said, ‘We have given a chance to new people to become a part of our system and show results. This brought newness to the system and maintained its democratic form. India is working to host the Olympic Games in 2036. The spirit of One India, Best India is also visible in our governance. Our full focus is on the development of every area. The example of North-East is in front of you. North-East was completely ignored in the earlier governments. But we do not work for votes and seats. For us, every corner of the country should be prosperous and developed, this is our feeling. We have a record number of ministers from the North-East in our cabinet. For the first time, a woman has become an MP in Rajya Sabha from Nagaland. We are proud that for the first time we have given a place to a person from Tripura in the Council of Ministers. For the first time in our government, Arunachal Pradesh has got a cabinet minister.
