Uttarakhand: Chief Minister provided appointment letters to 394 village development officers, said – there is a need to strengthen the social and economic system of villages for developed India

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday presented appointment letters to the candidates appointed to the posts of 394 Village Development Officers selected through the Subordinate Selection Service Commission under the Rural Development Department at the Chief Sevak Sadan.

While congratulating the newly appointed Village Development Officers in the program, the Chief Minister expected that all the appointed personnel will make an important contribution in developing the villages by discharging their responsibilities honestly. He said that whatever responsibility you are getting, start it from the very first day by creating strict discipline for yourself, which will benefit you a lot in your service and life. Referring to the villages, he said that the development of the country depends on the development of villages. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide electricity, water, roads, education and health facilities to the villages, but along with this, the huge responsibility of keeping the infrastructure facilities inside these villages strong is on your shoulders.

The Chief Minister said that the process of carrying out work related to the development of villages is an important link today, hence you have to ensure that the roads inside the villages are good, the drainage system is good and the funds coming from the state government are used in a transparent manner. He said that you have to work in this direction also to help the people living at the last resort in the villages, so that they get the benefits of all the schemes and policies of the state government.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously striving with dedication to realize the dream of a developed India. It is very important to strengthen the social and economic system of villages for a developed India. He said that we have adopted the principle of Antyodaya and have paid special attention to the development of villages. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, work has been done to provide food to 80 crore people of the country, the country’s economy has moved from eleventh to fifth position, which will soon come to third position in the coming time. He said that the Prime Minister has special attachment to Uttarakhand. Under his guidance, Uttarakhand has seen unprecedented development in every field.

The Chief Minister said that on one hand our government is rapidly constructing roads, education, drinking water, housing and toilets, while on the other hand the work of making women self-reliant by forming various self-help groups through schemes like Lakhpati Didi is being done. And we have implemented the scheme of filling three free gas cylinders in a year for poor families, so that people living especially in rural areas can be truly helped and their standard of living can be raised. He expressed confidence that our youth will leave no stone unturned in developing the villages with youthful thinking and positive approach.

Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi, while congratulating and best wishes to the newly appointed Rural Development Officers, said that the soul of the country resides in the villages. He said that you have to discharge your responsibility through the responsibility that is being given to you. He said that today the direction of the youth is changing, they are setting new dimensions in every field.
